The photos that don't exist

These pictures can't be real as the tour guide who sold us this trip assured us, even once we returned ,that there was nothing over 45 degrees to walk up on this trip... so how did we take these pictures??

Oh by the way the dark patch at the bottom right is a 30 metre deep (well thats as far as we could see so maybe deeper) crevass!!! Hmmm a beginners climb.

And then we walked, and walked in great weather, snow, rain, wind, sunshine at dawn and dusk and beyond...we trekked a lot saw even more as we were going slow...

Tim did well with his Spanish on more than one occassion securing us rooms over the phone with no English by either party...
At times, I was happy with a room where my bed didn't fall apart and there was a 60% chance of a warm shower but mostly the rooms were clean, comfortable with private bathrooms (banoprivado) and 75% chance of hot water. Most of the time our stay was in the most amazing of locations!

Sacred Valley (Peru) by bicycle (September)

I doubt that the Inca travelled by bicycle but they should have, its a great way to see the sights (even if we only rode downhill).

The day out started with a visit to Sacsayhuaman a magnificent Inca site overlooking Cusco.

We also visited Tambo Machay, water spring and "the Inca bath" with a late lunch at Pisac.

Barb and Tim stayed in the valley and came home next day by local bus
